Meeting Cicero Families Fundamental Needs
The Cicero Community Collaborative plays a leading role in addressing food insecurity in Cicero. In the past two years, we have distributed over 400,000 pounds to 4,000(+) food insecure families in our community.We have also worked to address basic needs for the family as a whole by helping to provide baby food, diapers, warm winter coats, hygiene kits, and other fun items such as Christmas trees and Halloween costumes
Hosted a Summit with collaboration with youth and police department to help improve the community bond between both entities.
The Cicero Community Collaborative provides $495 scholarships to Cicero residents who need to apply for DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals)
Regular food distribution programs to meet the basic needs of Cicero families
Music construction workshops to support the cognitive development, creativity, and problem-solving skills of elementary students
Awareness campaigns about the importance of early childhood development and education
Free developmental screenings
Hosted CPR training for parent ambassadors and the community provided by American Red Cross
West40 and the CCC collaborated to bring CPR training for the children of Cicero
Building awareness of all of the social services available to support Cicero youth and families
