DACA has benefited my life in such a Positive way. Because of DACA I am able to work and provide for my family and pay my college tuition. DACA has given me the privilege to be the adult I am today and has taught me that even though my status is different from my friends and my benefits are not the same it’s not a reason for me to give up in life, in the other day it makes me appreciate the person I am and how far I’ve become. DACA has helped me get hired at the jobs I have dreamt of, especially while studying pre-nursing it’s helped me get more experience in the health care community and helped me prepare for my classes in college. Having DACA has recently impacted my life in such a positive way that I would’ve never dreamt of, recently my aunt who was like a mother to me passed away and because of DACA I was able to get approved for Advance Parole and I was able to go back to my roots and pay my respects after 17 years. Better yet DACA has helped me make my parents dream come true of buying their very first home and having their own space to live in and stop renting all over Cicero, after all the sacrifices they made for me their oldest daughter I was able to repay a little amount back to them.

My name is Viridiana Quiroz Gamiño, and Daca allowed me to get a social security when I was 16 and that first application allowed me to continue my education. Getting a college degree was never not an option for me, and when I accomplished this by getting my bachelor's in arts and Sciences, I was lost. After working at my local pharmacy and improving my health, I realized that I wanted to pursue a master's in nutrition and dietetics, helping other young people combat prediabetic symptoms. Having Daca has allowed me to work and create a form of independence while allowing me to help alleviate some financial stress on my family. Daca is not just about working and getting money, but it also allows you to be an active participant in society. It's a form of recognition after being unrecognized by the government and the country you were raised in.
With the loss of Daca I would have to depend on my family for financial support, which would make me a liability. My family is quite big, I have two brothers and one sisters that are younger. One of my brothers is 18 and is getting help from my parents to pay for college. My family would be directly impacted if Daca was terminated. I would not be able to work or be accounted for. The termination of Daca would also have an impact on my mental health, because not having a job or a form of financial security would cause a lot anxiety throughout my house hold. Being the oldest I’m suppose to be an example, and not being able to help would be detrimental. My town and community are filled with a plethora of capable individuals who also happen to be Daca recipients. Taking Daca away would have a huge impact on the nation.Employers and corporations that employ Daca recipients would be short staffed; causing a chain reaction and an economic impact in the United States. You might not realize it, but your coworker, your neighbor, and even your boss/manager could be a Daca recipient. My name is Viridiana Quiroz Gamiño, I’m 25 years old, and Daca is necessity for me, my family, and the nation.
